Using acid to wash hats seemed strange to us too, but after seeing this black heavy cotton, 6 panel dad hat endure rigorous wash cycles to achieve this patina - and still holding its shape, we were hooked. This hat features an embellished K4 silver clasp to secure the adjustment strap. The front embroidery of this cap reads “TRIAL BY FIRE” - which doesn’t seem like much compared to the acid bath.
